Free State Antiretroviral Rollout Data Management System
Another area where we have recently used PDACT has been on monitoring patient and treatment information associated with the rollout of antiretroviral therapy in the Free State province. Filed workers are deployed to capture data from paper forms into PDACT in the field and then transmit the data to Cape Town at night. This information system will be used as a basis for a program of randomized and controlled trials attached to the rollout program and also for a test of information feedback and alerting systems.
